About

I find the reason a product isn’t being used.

I work on consumer health product at HCL Healthcare, where I own engagement on an app with more than a million registered users: the roadmap, the PRDs, and what ships in what order. My title there is Product Analyst. The scope is a PM’s. Both are true.

I got here sideways. A dual degree at IIT Kharagpur, then four product internships across media, online marketplaces, fintech onboarding and insurance claims, each of which was mostly an exercise in finding out why people stopped partway through something. That turned out to be the job.

The problems I like are the ones where the product already exists and something quiet is stopping people from using it. A fifteen-second wait. A five-step verification wall in front of an account that does not exist yet. A page of clinical values nobody can read. Those are more interesting to me than a blank page, because the constraint is real and the evidence is already there if you go and look for it.

Health is where I want to keep working. It has the hardest version of the engagement problem. People have very little intrinsic reason to open a health app on a Tuesday, and the consequences of getting it right are not trivial.

I’m looking for PM, APM or AI PM roles in consumer product, health and applied AI.

  1. HCL Healthcare

    Product Analyst

    Oct 2024 – Present · Noida

Own engagement on a consumer health super-app with 1M+ registered users: the roadmap, the PRDs, and what ships in what order.

    • Diagnosed a fifteen-second app launch as the real adoption blocker, and led an eight-week cross-functional initiative that brought it under two seconds and cut the bundle from 25MB to 6MB.
    • Ran cohort analysis across three retention strategies and took Steps Premier League from 0→1, moving session time from 3.5 to 7.8 minutes.
    • Built the AI Smart Health Report 0→1 (product requirements, UX flow and personalisation logic) with cross-sell hooks driving 15% incremental revenue and the report becoming a key USP in 5+ enterprise closes.
    • Shipped an engagement suite spanning challenges, streaks, live events and trackers, lifting daily actives 20% within twelve weeks.
    • Raised step-sync completion 35% and health-assessment completion 15%, and cut 30% of the manual effort in the reporting loop.

Ask me about

Five things I would rather be argued with about than complimented on. My address is at the bottom of this page.

  • Why session time was the wrong north star for a retention feature, and what I would use instead.
  • Whether a health artifact should carry a commercial ask at all, and where the line sits if it does.
  • What a regression number needs before it means anything. Mine did not have it.
  • Why you cannot A/B test a latency fix, and what you compare instead.
  • Whether ABDM changes the retention ceiling for Indian health apps, or just moves it.
